Encouraging Word Church is more than just a church, we are a village! After years of servitude and prayer, our Senior Leaders, Pastor Larry and Lady Shanavia Zackery decided to answer the call of God. At their dining room table and with 6 people, EWC was birthed. On November 19th, 2017, at the Best Western Plus in North Haven, CT, Encouraging Word held our launch service. At that time, 15 people became a part of our family, and we’ve grown non-stop ever since.

During our second worship service, it was made abundantly clear that Encouraging Word is to be a house of prophesy and deliverance. A place where lives are changed forever. We are called to the broken, the mended, the prosperous, and the poor. No matter what walk of life you are in, you belong here.
